The Catastrophic Nature of Wrong-Way Crashes

Head_On_Collision

Government crash data reveals that wrong-way wrecks are more often fatal than most other types of accidents. This is because these collisions occur suddenly, at high-speed, and result in head-on crashes. And our Highway 6 truck accident attorneys point out that high-speed wrong-way collisions often cause the impacted vehicles to spin into other lanes and pull multiple vehicles into the crash. These high-speed, head-on collisions often result in multiple fatalities and serious injuries. As the crash near Hearne reveals, a passenger car can even damage an 18-wheeler and injure the truck driver in a catastrophic wrong-way wreck.

Distracted driving, drunken driving, and drowsy driving are the primary causes of wrong-way collisions. But sometimes mechanical failures or driver medical conditions cause the wrecks. Click the link to read more about the risks from catastrophic wrong way crashes.
