Holiday Driver Fatigue and SUV Rollovers

The holiday season sees more travelers on the road, and many of them are fatigued drivers. Accidents due to fatigue are especially frequent in the wee hours of the morning.

Additionally, SUVs are more prone to rollovers than other vehicles partly due to their high center of gravity in relation to a relatively narrow wheelbase. SUV occupants unrestrained by seatbelts can easily be ejected from the vehicle when it goes into a sudden rollover. And vehicle occupants ejected outside of the safety of the SUV itself have a fatality rate of approximately 75%.
