Hit and Run Drivers cause ongoing Pain and Tragedy for Houston Area Families

The number of hit and run accidents appearing in Houston area news accounts has grown alarmingly over the last year. Studies of the hit and run accident problem across the nation tie the number of fatal hit and run accidents to the number of unlicensed drivers in an area.

For instance, a U.S. government report using the national FARS database found that the 7 U.S. states with the largest numbers of fatal hit and run accidents also had the largest numbers of illegal, unlicensed driving populations. And our Houston accident lawyers note that the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety determined that unlicensed drivers are more than 66 times more likely to cause a hit and run accident than other drivers.

Hit and run drivers don’t care if they leave your family with a tragic, unexplained loss. They just don’t want to get caught for their crimes.
