Joe Don Shaw, 20, was riding his motorcycle just before noon on Thursday when he collided with the back of a John Deere tractor. The farm tractor had reportedly been in the process of turning off of the roadway by Cotton Belt Parkway when the motorcycle and tractor crash occurred. Spring Valley Road between Moody and Hewitt formed the site of the tragic McLennan County collision.
Mr. Shaw died at the scene of the motorcycle and tractor crash. The tractor driver was not injured. News accounts of the incident did not specify what circumstances caused Joe Shaw to collide with the rear of the tractor on his motorcycle. (Source: kwtx.com, 6/6/13)
