Just after 9 a.m. during Tuesday’s rush hour, two 18-wheelers, one of them carrying a load of pipe, crashed on eastbound I-10 near Louisiana Street in Beaumont. Eastbound lanes of the busy interstate were closed for a couple of hours frustrating commuters while environmental clean-up crews removed spilled fuel and oil from the scene. One of the 18-wheeler drivers received transport to the hospital for his injuries. And a dog belonging to one of the truck drivers also sustained injuries in the crash.
