Never Pick and Eat Wild Mushrooms

Non-toxic mushrooms are notoriously hard to distinguish from the toxic ones. And poisonous mushrooms have been used famously throughout history to remove inconvenient people. Some historians ascribe Emperor Claudius’ death to a toxic mushroom.

And from time to time, one reads of prominent members of wild mushroom societies sickening and dying from failing to properly distinguish one fungus from another. Our Texas injury attorneys caution: it is extremely foolhardy to pick and serve or eat mushrooms found wild in the backyard or any other place. Just don’t do it. You might be held liable for negligence should anyone become sick or die from your act.
