The HCSO responded to the scene after a man had pulled his disabled Jeep over into the far right lane of the southbound Sam Houston Parkway feeder road in northeast Harris County, and a tow truck struck him from behind on Tuesday afternoon.

Our Harris County wrongful death attorneys sadly note that the man with the disabled Jeep had called his son after the vehicle had broken down, but the younger man did not arrive until after the fiery fatal wreck had already occurred around 3:30 p.m. near the exit for West Lake Houston.

The HCSO says there is no evidence the tow truck driver tried to stop before the fiery fatal wreck. So driver fatigue or driver distraction remain some of the possible causes for the tow truck crash into the Jeep.
