Fatal Rollover at LBJ and Greenville shows Danger of Vehicle Ejections

Monday just after 3 a.m., the driver of a Ford F-150 pickup truck lost control of the vehicle at high speed while entering LBJ Freeway from the Greenville entry ramp in northeast Dallas. The pickup launched into a roll and tumbled down the slope, losing its front wheels at some point, but landing upright. Witnesses said the truck must have been going about 100 mph.

Sadly, the two occupants of the truck were ejected during the rollover. The young man, 25, died at the scene. The female occupant of the truck was transported to the hospital in critical condition where she later died. The fatal Dallas rollover crash, its cleanup, and investigation tied up traffic on I-635 until well into the morning rush hour.

The I-635 rollover accident attorneys at Denena Points, PC convey their sincere condolences to the family members and friends of the two victims of the crash.

Our I-635 rollover accident attorneys discussed recently how at least half of all rollover accidents are single-vehicle wrecks rather than collisions. And that these single-vehicle rollovers are usually speed-related and often result in occupants being ejected from the vehicle. As this horrific LBJ Freeway rollover sadly demonstrates, vehicle ejection results in death more than 75% of the time.

These two accident victims won’t have died in vain if we learn from their wreck to drive more slowly and carefully, especially at night. Highway entry and exit ramps are the site of many accidents because it can be difficult to judge the curve and incline until it’s too late. Drive safely out there. It’s better to reach your destination late than not at all.
