Monday morning at the I-45 feeder road by Creighton, a 3-vehicle rear-end wreck claimed the life of one driver and critically injured another.
83-year-old Joe Robert Bush crashed into the rear of a Voyager minivan driven by Juana Barron. The force of the impact then pushed the Voyager minivan into the back of a Ford F-150 pickup truck stopped at the red light at the I-45 feeder road intersection.
The driver of the Ford F-150 pickup truck, Clarence Minyard, had minor injuries. But he was treated for them and releases. Juana Barron was trapped in her Voyager minivan between the other two vehicles at the I-45 feeder road. She was freed from the rear-end wreck and then transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Woodlands with critical injuries. Joe Robert Bush also received critical injuries in the wreck. Reportedly, he was initially conscious and speaking at the scene of the tragic I-45 crash in Conroe, but died that evening at Conroe Regional Hospital from his injuries. Rear-End Wrecks are the Single Most Common Type of Collision
Rear-end wrecks account for about 33% of all car collisions every year. They occur most often at intersections when vehicles are stopped at red lights or stop signs.
Our Conroe car accident attorneys emphasize that these collisions are also very dangerous. As in the Conroe 3-vehicle crash on Monday, vehicles and their occupants may get trapped and crushed in between others in the accident. And most cars are just not reinforced against the dangers of rear-end collisions, even though they are so frequent. So vehicle occupants are vulnerable to the full force of the impact and serious injuries like broken bones, internal trauma, and whiplash.
Whiplash injuries are tricky and could take some time to develop. What seems like minor neck pain today could end up as a major injury later if not properly diagnosed and treated. Our Conroe car accident attorneys caution that delayed diagnosis and treatment might entail ongoing therapies and treatment. Don’t let your injuries today become permanent disabilities tomorrow.
