Shoulders of Rural Highways present High Risks to Pedestrians

Pedestrians, highway workers, and drivers with disabled vehicles suffer a high rate of injury and death from drunken, fatigued, and distracted drivers. Our Pearland, TX pedestrian accident lawyers emphasize that the risk is especially high to pedestrians on the shoulders of rural highways at night when drivers might not see pedestrians in time to avoid a fatal crash. And while drivers probably shouldn’t be on the shoulders of the road where they might strike pedestrians in the first place, the fragile human body is no match for a massive semi truck. Click the link to read about another recent fatal pedestrian 18-wheeler accident on a rural highway in Falls County.
