4 Vehicle Wrong Way Driving Wreck Kills 1, Injures 1 in Austin, TX

Mary Lillie Hemphill was reportedly driving a Ford Expedition south in the northbound lanes of I-35 near Rundberg in Austin, Texas on Saturday morning just before 2 when she caused a 4-vehicle wreck. Ms. Hemphill struck a Lexus first and sent it careening into a Freightliner truck. Then Ms. Hemphill hit a Ford F-150 pickup truck in a head-on crash that caused her Ford Expedition to erupt into flames.

Mary Hemphill died at the scene of the 4-vehicle wrong way wreck and the driver of the Ford F-150 received transport to the hospital for serious injuries.
