Driver Charged with Intoxication Manslaughter, Fatal Harris Cty Crash | DENENA | POINTS

HCSO officials said that Aaron Jaques, 22, was speeding north on Texas Highway 6 in northwest Harris County about 11 on Saturday night when he slammed into the back of a pickup truck forcing it into oncoming lanes of traffic. The pickup truck, driven by Don Johanson, then struck an oncoming Dodge Ram pickup truck in a head-on collision.

Our Highway 6 accident attorneys sadly report that Don Johanson was killed by the impact at the scene of the Highway 6 DWI crash. The driver of the Dodge Ram pickup truck, Saul Grimaldo, was initially unresponsive at the scene, but was taken to the hospital. His passengers, Homero and Miriam Grimaldo, also received transport to the hospital for their Harris County injuries.

Reports indicate that Aaron Jaques fled the scene of the deadly Highway 6 DWI crash on foot, but was later caught and arrested. He has been charged with intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault with a vehicle. (Source: KTRK abc13.com, 6/16/13)
