Many Deadly Wrong-Way Crashes are Caused by Alcohol-Impaired Drivers
U.S. NHTSA data shows that alcohol-impaired drivers cause about 60% of all wrong-way, head-on crashes. Our Highway 190 accident attorneys point out that many of these catastrophic collisions occur late at night or on the weekends. And in Texas, many of them occur on narrow, poorly lit two-lane rural highways that provide innocent victims with little opportunity to get out of the way of high-speed, wrong-way drivers.
