The Extreme Severity of Wrong-Way Wrecks
Wrong-way collisions can be catastrophic, as the fatal State Highway 19 crash in Trinity County reveals. These wrecks are generally much more severe than other types of crashes because they involve high-speed, head-on impacts. Other drivers rarely have the time to react to evade the wrong-way drivers.
The wrong-way wrecks frequently cause chain reaction crashes involving multiple vehicles. And even when only two vehicles collide, as in the Trinity County crash, our East Texas wrongful death attorneys sadly note that multiple fatalities typically occur.
