3 people dead in I-35 truck crash & multi-vehicle accident

I-35 accident lawyers report a tragic multi-vehicle accident scene on I-35 this morning that claimed 3 lives. Monday morning on I-35 close to Schwab Road near Schertz, TX, a wrong-way driver ran into a family of five. The wreck reportedly involved 3 cars.

Following the traumatic crash by the wrong-way driver, the driver of a tour bus from Mexico pulled over to the side of the highway to help. And another Good Samaritan ran over from a nearby rest stop to offer their assistance. (Source: KABB Fox, San Antonio, 7/30/2012)

While the Good Samaritans were trying to help injured victims of the wrong-way crash, a truck driver trying to avoid the scene of the crash struck the two Good Samaritans and the wrong-way driver. All 3 victims of the truck crash died from their collision injuries. Authorities shut down northbound I-35 for more than 3 hours following the tragic multi-vehicle wreck.

Our hearts and prayers are with the family and friends of the helpful tour bus driver and the Good Samaritan from the rest stop who innocently lost their lives in this tragic wreck trying to lend a hand to others. The thoughts of our I-35 accident lawyers are also with the family of five injured by the wrong-way driver, as well as friends and relatives of that fatally injured driver.

This senseless tragedy serves as a saddening reminder of the carnage inflicted on Texas roadways by wrong-way drivers all over the state. Whether fatigue, alcohol, poorly posted traffic signs, or some other cause is behind the wrong-way driving, such mistakes almost always lead to catastrophic collisions and dangerous roadway pileups that cause further accidents.
