Our Houston accident attorneys were deeply saddened by a series of horrific accidents in Montgomery County in recent days that led to multiple injuries and fatalities. The first of two tragic fatal wrecks in Montgomery County occurred on Thursday afternoon. Taylor Harris, 20, was driving west on FM 1488 near Peoples Road when she veered across the center turn lane and struck Melanie Sangil, 32, and her 3-year-old daughter in a head on crash.
Taylor Harris tragically died at the scene of the fatal head-on crash along with her small dog. She was driving a small 2009 Ford Focus. Melanie Sangil was in a large 2008 Nissan Armada SUV. Ms. Sangil and her daughter received transport to a Conroe hospital for their injuries.
The force of the impact imprinted the Nissan’s front license plate into the front bumper of the Ford Focus. FM 1488 remained closed for about two hours while rescue crews and investigators worked the scene of the tragic fatal wreck. What caused Ms. Harris to suddenly veer into the oncoming lane of traffic remains unknown.
Our Houston accident attorneys note that another horrific collision occurred early the following day. At around 6 a.m. on Friday morning, another head-on crash claimed a life, that of a 31-year-old woman driving a 2008 Honda Accord. The tragic fatal wreck occurred at SH 242 and Mystic Hill.
Reportedly, the woman was driving west in the Honda when she veered off the right shoulder of the road. She then overcorrected her course, which caused the Honda Accord to swerve across the eastbound lanes of traffic. An eastbound 2007 GMC Sierra pickup crashed into the Honda.
The female driver of the Honda was trapped inside her vehicle by the serious crash and died at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck sustained minor injuries in the crash and received transport to a hospital in The Woodlands.
The Houston accident attorneys at Denena & Points express their deepest sympathies to the mourning family and friends of the young accident victims of the tragic fatal wrecks. Our thoughts and prayers are also with the injured as they recover from their traumatic accidents.
