Saturday Night’s Fatal Accident near Orange Grove that Claimed Two Teen Lives

Then on Saturday night, a crash a few miles north of Orange Grove, Texas on County Road 364 tragically claimed the lives of two young women. Brooke Nicole Tatchell, 16, and Alexandra Elisabeth Anderson, 15, died when the pickup truck they were riding in was struck by an out of control vehicle. Bradley even Price lost control of a Dodge Ram pickup truck and hit the other pickup that the two teens were in. Jesse Clinton Amaya from Orange Grove drove the pickup in which the two teens rode.

Both pickups experienced dangerous rollovers from the high-speed wreck. Price’s pickup also hit a Ford Bronco driven by a man from Portland. Reportedly, the two teen girls did not have seatbelts on at the time of the wreck. But the pickup they were in reportedly dated to 1971 and so might not have contained seatbelts.

The deepest sympathies of our Beaumont accident attorneys go out to the friends and family of the deceased victims of these two tragic wrecks. The injured victims are in our thoughts as we wish them rapid recoveries from their injuries.

On the Interplay between Seatbelt Use, Vehicle Ejection, and Fatal Injury

 Rollover(it)

Our Beaumont accident attorneys note that seatbelts are very effective in preventing serious injuries and fatalities in many wrecks. Especially in dangerous rollover wrecks, the vehicle occupants who do not wear seatbelts can easily be ejected from their vehicles. And around 75% of those who suffer vehicle ejection also suffer fatal injury. So be safe on our Texas roads. Always wear your seatbelts.
