Even with Signal Lights, Urban Intersections can be Fatal Places for Pedestrians

Urban intersections present especial dangers to pedestrians. Motorists’ confusion about right-of-way can lead to deadly accidents. And our Texas City bus accident attorneys emphasize that studies have shown time and again that drivers tend to keep watch for vehicles their own size or larger, often overlooking the presence of pedestrians, bicyclists, and even motorcyclists until it’s far too late.

In Texas, the pedestrian generally has the right-of-way at an intersection rather than a turning vehicle. Click here to learn more about pedestrian right-of-way rules.
