Early Sunday just before 3:30, a male pedestrian was crossing the 1500 block of Blalock in west Houston when a BMW struck and killed him. The driver of the BMW was charged with DWI.

Then another driver, in a Ford Taurus, crashed into one of the Houston police cars that had responded to the scene. Officer A. Vo received transport to the hospital for his injuries. Reportedly the driver of the Taurus was not intoxicated. Just perhaps fatigued, driving too fast to slow in time, or not paying proper attention to the road.
