A truck hauling a giant compressor motor became stuck on the train tracks by Telge Road and the U.S. 290 feeder road on Friday just before noon. The truck driver and another trucker tried to move the flatbed truck off the tracks but were unsuccessful. A northbound train then struck the stalled flatbed truck, knocking the compressor motor off the truck into the intersection and blocking traffic. The conductor of the train received transport to the hospital for injuries received in the train’s crash with the stalled truck. (Source: Houston Chronicle, 1/25/13)
