Houston, TX: 18-Wheeler on 610 West Loop Southbound Ramp to I-10 Overturns and Dumps Some Cargo of Metal Scaffolding onto Cars on Eastbound Katy Freeway Below; No Injuries Reported

Late Thursday morning, an 18-wheeler in the process of taking the 610 West Loop ramp onto the Katy Freeway overturned. The overturned big rig essentially shut down the ramp, forcing southbound traffic on 610 West Loop to make u-turns and find an alternate route. When the 18-wheeler toppled over, it spilled some of its cargo of metal scaffolding onto the Katy Freeway below.
