Wednesday afternoon just before 2, a worker was struck by a pickup truck just leaving Brian O’Neill’s Irish Pub near Amherst and Morningside Drive in the Houston neighborhood of Rice Village, Texas. The worker, 80, was sweeping leaves at the curb when the errant truck hit him. The worker received transport to the hospital with injuries to his hip.
