** Police stopped a 46-year-old man from Friendswood for several violations at the 400 block of West Edgewood Drive. As the officer approached the car, he noticed an expired inspection sticker and that the driver appeared nervous. Police found Hydrocodone in the man’s pocket and Xanax, Tranquility bath salts (synthetic meth), and more Hydrocodone during a vehicle search. Charges: 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance.

** Police stopped a 21-year-old Heritage Park man after he was observed driving unsafely. Upon approach to the vehicle, officers noticed the driver had very red eyes and carried the distinctive scent of marijuana. They found a bag of the substance right in the guy’s pocket, and marijuana residue throughout the vehicle. Charge: possession of marijuana.

** 24-year-old Friendswood woman charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Police pulled her over for a traffic violation on Eagle Lakes Drive. AN officer smelled the aroma of marijuana as he approached the driver, and found a marijuana pipe in the car.

Thanksgiving:

** 27-year-old Houston man arrested on November 12th for public intoxication added a DWI charge to his name on Thanksgiving. Let’s give thanks that police took him off the road before he injured or killed someone. Police stopped the man for speeding only to find a passed out female passenger in the driver’s lap. The man failed a field sobriety test and registered at more than twice the legal limit on a breath test.

** 28-year-old Pasadena man charged with DWI after police were notified of a DWI suspect in the HEB parking lot. They stopped the man in the 200 block of West Parkwood in Friendswood. The man failed a field sobriety test, refused to provide a breath sample for testing, and told officers he thought he was in Pasadena.

** 22-year-old Dickinson man makes getting arrested for marijuana possession on Thanksgiving a personal tradition. Police stopped the man for unsafe driving. The man acted nervous and told police he was trying to gat away from someone. The Dickinson man had a suspended driver’s license from a prior drug arrest and expired insurance. Police found a pill bottle and hydroponic marijuana in the vehicle. The man bragged that he was also arrested for marijuana possession last Thanksgiving.

** 23-year-old Houston man stopped on FM 528 for an expired registration. Officer could smell marijuana, and the Houston man admitted he was a regular marijuana user. Search of the vehicle turned up a marijuana pipe with residue of the substance and a scale used to weigh marijuana. Charge: possession of drug paraphernalia.
