Our Galveston truck accident attorneys ask: Did the truck on I-45 not have lights or cones or other warnings in place? More and more often one sees road crew trucks pulled over without having any warnings out to alert oncoming motorists to their danger. Many commercial truck drivers of all sorts seem to be less and less inclined to abide by safety regulations and rules of the road, which could indicate weak enforcement.

In Dallas on Thursday, this writer watched a commercial truck on Audelia Road, with its rear license plate covered up and a green-lettered sign on the side that ironically enough said something like “Green Earth” or “Clean Earth,” driving in the left lane. The truck was entering ALL left turn lanes, and then NOT turning left. Instead, at each intersection the driver would immediately swerve right, out of the left turn lane and without warning or signals, back into traffic, almost causing wrecks. There was a sign on the back of the truck saying, “Keep back 100 feet.” But the people ahead of and beside him into which he appeared to be trying to steer could not see that sign.

In short, negligent and reckless truck drivers cause many of the crashes that injure innocent victims. Our Galveston truck accident attorneys call on witnesses to report these reckless drivers and on law enforcement officers to get them off the roads.
