Houston Transtar says that despite program cuts and growth in Houston’s population and traffic congestion, emergency crews are clearing accident scenes from your commute routes faster than ever. In 2011, the average accident scene clearance time dropped to 33.5 minutes from 34.7 minutes in 2010. And back in 2008, it took emergency crews an average of 49 minutes to clear an accident scene.
