55 Injuries from 2nd Floor Apartment Collapse at Crowded Florida Party | DENENA | POINTS

Just before 1:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, the floor of a 2nd story apartment collapsed during a college party. The collapse occurred in a two-story, wood frame building called theSeminole Grand Apartments in Tallahassee, Florida near Florida A&M University.

The sudden collapse sent around 100 partygoers tumbling into the first floor Seminole Grand Apartments clubhouse below. Seven people that became trapped on the remaining portion of the 2nd floor apartment with no access to a stairway or other escape route had to be rescued by a fire department ladder truck.

Our apartment collapse injury attorneys sadly note that at least 55 partygoers received injuries in the sudden apartment floor collapse. At least 12 of the victims were hospitalized with more serious injuries such as broken bones. But none of the injuries was fatal or considered life threatening.
