Thursday morning about 6, rain storms were moving through the Houston area complicating commuters’ morning rush hour drives. At U.S. 290, the Northwest Freeway, and 34th Street, a 5-vehicle pileup resulted that shut down eastbound lanes during the morning commute while rescue crews responded to the crash and cleared the scene.
