Holding Drunken Drivers Accountable for the Accidents and Injuries They Cause
The Texas rollover crash injury attorneys at Denena Points, PC note that a driver’s conviction for intoxication assault or intoxication manslaughter can carry with it severe criminal penalties. Especially where the driver has prior DWI convictions resulting in felony DWI charges.
But even when a drunken driving crash has resulted in a death, Texas judges might reduce the sentence to probation upon service of 120 days in jail or even to community service. Such feeble penalties might seem insulting when a drunken driver has seriously injured you or a loved one, or even caused your loved one’s death.
The best way to ensure that the driver who caused your injuries and losses pays for his or her crime might be to file a civil suit seeking financial compensation for the full value of your injuries. Many people would rather give up their freedom than their financial assets. Our Texas rollover crash injury attorneys could help you build a compelling case against the drunken driver who caused you harm. Take the drunken driver to court with a civil claim and let us help you hold that driver fully financial accountable to you for the harm caused by the DWI crash.
