18-Wheeler Collides with 18-Wheeler in Dramatic Gregory, TX Rollover

About 8 a.m. on Wednesday in Gregory, TX, an orange 18-wheeler ran through a stop sign and crashed into a blue 18-wheeler that was crossing the intersection of Highway 35 and FM 136. The orange 18-wheeler was empty of cargo at the time of the accident, and when it rammed the blue 18-wheeler hauling a load of dirt, it flipped over.
The wreck trapped the driver of the blue 18-wheeler in the cab of his truck. First responders to the scene extracted him from the wreckage using the Jaws of Life. Police Chief Joseph Roberts of the Gregory PD says that the driver’s use of his beat belt spared him worse injuries from the horrific wreck.
The driver of the orange 18-wheeler that ran the stop sign received head injuries from the crash and was transported to a nearby hospital. The cab of his orange truck was mangled, and the windshield had shattered into a crackled web of glass.
