Ex-Boyfriend Charged with Felony DWI after Woman Falls to Her Death

A woman in her late 20s died from severe head trauma early Saturday after falling from the hood of ex-boyfriend Jeremy Stanford’s Jeep. Reportedly the two had been having an argument when 34-year-old Jeremy Stanford pulled away from a home at Lindell and Spring Crossing Drive in Spring, Texas.

News reports say that the woman, whose name has not been released by authorities, had been pleading with Stanford not to drive drunk. Stanford drove off in his Jeep with the woman on the hood. She fell off the Jeep and hit the concrete, suffering fatal head injuries.

Authorities arrived to find the injured woman lying in the middle of the street. Stanford has been charged with felony DWI and may face the additional charge of intoxication manslaughter. (Sources: KHOU 11 News, 11/10/12 and click2houston.com, 11/10/12)
