Symptoms of Listeria infection might include: severe headaches, high fevers, nausea, stiffness, abdominal pains, and/or diarrhea. Recalls of Potentially Dangerous Food Products on the Rise since U.S. FDA Received Enhanced Authority over these Consumables

You might have noticed that over the past year or so, the FDA has been involved in publicizing a large number of widespread recalls of potentially dangerous food products for salmonella and Listeria contaminants, among others. Our Pearland, TX recall attorneys for contaminated foods point out that the U.S. FDA only recently received the specific authority to issue these recalls and to urge manufacturers to conduct voluntary recalls.

The enhanced authority was given to the agency due to concerns that food products, distributed into the marketplace from a variety of sources, could cause widespread harm in a short period of time due to hidden contaminants if the federal agency couldn’t address and publicize the problems quickly on a national scale.

Though deaths and illnesses continue to result from contaminated products like the Crave Brothers cheese, the heightened risk response might have saved numerous lives. Click the link to learn more about FDA recalls of dangerous consumable products.
