Chad D. Points
Chad Points grew up in the small town of Sherman, Texas. Chad received his Juris Doctorate degree from South Texas College of Law where he also served as Assistant Editor in Chief of the Law Review. Chad was part of the vaunted STCL moot court team during law school, competing in tournaments around the country. While competing in moot court, Chad authored and co-authored briefs receiving "best brief" awards in moot court tournaments. Chad also received the distinguished service award for his work on and with the STCL advocacy program. Prior to law school, Chad received a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Austin College.
After five years of practicing at a major Houston litigation firm, at the age of 32, Chad and his law partner Anthony Denena opened the doors of Denena & Points, PC. Since then, Chad has tried several cases to verdict. He has taken on cases against major corporations such as General Motors Corporation, Ford Motor Company, Suzuki, Toyota, Chrysler, Firestone, Bridgestone, Cooper Tires, Hankook, TRW, Takata, Autoliv, Alcoa and others on behalf of regular, hard-working people over Texas, in several federal courts in Texas and in seven other states. Additionally, Chad and the firm have handled wrongful death cases, product liability cases, and automotive collision cases for hundreds of clients.
In addition to his practical experience handling a wide variety of cases, Chad has written extensively on issues related to expert testimony admission, automotive products liability, accident reconstruction, toxic torts, and multi-district litigation.
Chad has been identified twice by his peers as a "Rising Star" in personal injury litigation as printed in Texas Monthly magazine.
Chad is licensed to practice law in the state courts of Texas and the United States District Courts in the Southern, Western, Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas. He is a member of the American League of Justice (ALJ), the Attorneys Information Exchange Group (AIEG), the Texas Bar Association, The Texas Trial Lawyers Association (TTLA), and the Houston Trial Lawyers Association.
Chad and his wife have three children. The family are parishoners of St. Anne's Catholic Community.
