Plaintiff, a 26-year crane operator for the same employer slipped on a defective stairway as he was walking up to notify some felllow seaman of an incoming helicopter on an offshore oil rig.  Tony Denena of Denena & Points filed suit on behalf of Plaintiff, alleging that the stairs were not constructed of a proper non-skid material given the extreme environment in which they were placed and were in negligent repair.  Plaintiff tore the meniscus in his knee in the fall and required surgery to repair it.

Two weeks before trial, and after several depositions, the case settled for a confidential amount.
